About MotoGlyphs

- Geoff’s mastery of rolling smoky burnouts leaves him a little bigheaded. -

MotoGlyphs was launched in 2005 by Geoff and Woody Gaines, two cousins sharing a troubling obsession with all things motorcycle.

Over the years we rarely found motorcycle graphics that we liked. Custom paint would be a beautiful way to try our ideas, but too much of a commitment for the bikes we ride every day.

With drawers full of stickers we wouldn't apply, and bland stocky bikes in the driveway, something had to give. The idea of designing vinyl graphics would not only solve the problem for us, but also for all the other bone-stockers out there. And dang, we'd have to hang out at races and shows and in garages for work.

The problem isn't too hard. Most stickers try to pack information or images into a bubble or window. Fine for a promotion, but really wrong for the aesthetics of a whole bike. A good graphic would not steal attention from the bike it was on, nor would it draw attention to only one area. And it wouldn't make a narrow statement about the views of the rider.

As simple as these qualities are, they ruled out everything in our old sticker drawer.Traditional flames, and now tribal flames, do have these qualities, which is why they'll be around for a long time. But other designs can do it too.

MotoGlyphs Mission Statement

We’re here every day for one reason: to fill the streets with great looking motorcycles that set their owners apart and make them proud. If it isn’t out there we’ll make it. If it is we’ll point to where to find it.
